Higher Water Bill

If you receive a water bill that is higher than your average water bill and you know there hasn't been any known rise in water use, then you could have a water leak somewhere on your property. Call your local licensed master plumber to diagnose the problem.

When you suspect a water leak, you can go turn off all the water in your house and then go check your water meter. If you see the water meter still running (the wheel keeps spinning) then you know there is a leak somewhere in your plumbing system. This is one of the best ways to test for a possible leak.

A drop in water pressure is a sign of a potentially large water line rupture. Respond quickly if there is a significant or sudden drop in water pressure by turning off all water to your house and calling your local plumber for help.

Sound of Flowing Water

If you hear the sound of flowing water but no faucets or appliances are turned on, then you definitely have a problem in your home. Listen carefully and find where the sound of flowing water is the loudest so you can help your plumber find the problem quickly. Then turn the water off to your house to keep damages to a minimum.
